My regular hours are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on the Surrey Campus.

I also try to maintain hours on the Richmond Campus on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 am - 10:00 am as well as on Saturdays from Noon - 1:00 pm.

Any changes to these hours will be posted here.

If you would like to make an appointment to visit me either during my office hours or at another time, e-mail me - finance@kusa.ca

Cheers,

- Steve

I forgot I had this page here...

I noted in my WORK BLOG that my regular hours would CHANGE to the following:

Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on the Surrey Campus.

I've been sick over the last few days, and have not been in the office since Monday. I will also not be in today for my Richmond hour from Noon - 1pm.

My office hours for the summer semester (May - August 2007) are as follows:

Mondays - 11am - 4pm (Surrey Campus)
Wednesdays - 2pm - 4pm (Richmond Campus unless Council is being held on another campus)
Thursdays - 11am - 4pm (Surrey Campus except for those days in which the finance committee is meeting on another campus)

This week, because of the KSA orientation that was held June 7 - 10, 2007, I am not doing my Monday hours (I actually worked them today at home, doing up my Finance Report for this Wednesday's Council meeting) and I will be in Richmond Tuesday.

FYI,

Attached is the summer meeting schedule for the Finance Committee. I noted that my Thursday hours rotate depending on where the Finance Committee is meeting.

Also, please note that my Wednesday hours on the Richmond Campus will not happen on July 4, 2007 as the executive board will be meeting with KSA lawyers on Wednesday and the class that I normally have in Richmond will be having a field trip at the Vancouver Art Gallery later that afternoon.

Grrr. On the eve of the hottest day of the year, our in-suite air conditioning decides to break.

Apparently the pipe that takes water away from our system is clogged and the workmen will be tearing through a chunk of that pipe tomorrow to unclog it. We came across the system leaking tonight, water had poured down and pulled onto a ceiling tile in our in-suite storage room, and had started dripping down onto the stuff we have stored in the room. We caught it very much by accident, when I cleared space and began to lift the tile - a cascade of water poured down. The tile would have probably collapsed during the night had we not caught it - causing a worse mess than we found.

Sadly, I'll be missing the Council meeting in Cloverdale because of this. I hope the meeting goes well and I'm glad Council will be able to see the amazing new campus.

The workmen who will be repairing the stuff estimate the work will take 4 - 6 hours and they will be here around 9am (we had them come out tonight to check it - if it had been the intake that brings water into the system, they would be here right now still!).

My office hours for the rest of the summer (between now and August 31, 2008) will be as follows:

- Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - 2:00pm - 6:00pm on the Surrey Campus.

Time outside of this will be used for various meetings and work on other campuses.

In my latest post to my work blog, I noted that I had been going through these 3.5" floppy disks that were laying around the office when we took over from RAF in November 2006. One of the files I found was a form that our former General Manager & Operations Administrator, Penny Minor, used to track people's hours for reference around the office. I updated the form and sent it out to my fellow executive as well as a few of our senior staff to see if we want to use it again (I don't think we are using anything like it right now).

From May to June 2009 my posted summer office hours (where you can be certain to find me at the Surrey Campus KSA) will be as follows:

Mondays 2pm - 7pm
Wednesdays 2pm - 7pm
Fridays 2pm - 7pm

For a total of 15 set-in-stone office hours. As an executive member, I am able to be remunerated for up to 25 hours a week and more than likely this time will be split between adding to the above hours (for example on Mondays and Wednesdays I will most likely be in the office early around 9am) and going to various meetings (Council, Executive Board, Finance Committee and the various institutional committees I am on).

I have to leave Tuesdays / Thursdays somewhat clear for the condensed fine arts course I am taking, although I will be attending KSA Council on Tuesdays when I can. At the end of June I will be revising my hours so that I will be in the office more often.

Until the end of March 2010, you can definitely find me in Surrey for my set hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm - 6pm; although I'm in more than that usually, unless I'm having an allergy attack.
